United Methodist Women
Membership in United Methodist Women is open to any woman who desires to belong and to participate in the Global Mission of the Church.
PURPOSE
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is:
- To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
- To develop a creative, supportive fellowship;
- To expand concepts of mission through participation in the Global Ministries of the Church.
The First United Methodist Church of Upland United Methodist Women’s Unit is divided into four fellowship groups which meet the first Thursday of each month except in the months of July and August. Three Fellowships meet in the morning and one group meets in the evening. The entire unit meets once a month for a Unit meeting approximately eight times a year, with some of the Unit Meetings held as other activities - a Spring Tea and the Candlelight Buffet are two examples.
